Doodles Creek

Doodles Creek

Our family food business started from a farmyard kitchen in 2002.

After relocating from Sydney for a rural lifestyle we decided to start a food business. I am passionate about cooking and adore mayonnaise. Having lived in London and Kenya, I was frustrated by the quality of Australian Mayonnaise here at the time, and with Rob's suggestion began to make my mayonnaise from home to sell to local and Sydney customers. I believe in keeping food ingredients wholesome and true to recipe.

The name Doodles Creek, is inspired by the permanent pristine spring-fed creek that ran through the family farm in Kangaloon in the Southern Highlands south of Sydney.

With a lot of help from family and friends in 2002, Doodles Creek started making a delicious creamy traditional mayonnaise, I took the first jars of mayonnaise to the the "farmers" market in Bowral and sold out.

Many people love the label, which was designed and printed in-house. We wanted the label to reflect the quality of the product inside and be good enough to have on a table set for a lunch or dinner party.

Doodles' products soon expanded to include innovative flavoured mayonnaises like Chilli Lime and Coriander and Wasabi. All new products have to pass the often harsh and critical evaluations of the family who now have highly sophisticated taste buds!

There is no compromise to quality and the products are as natural as the manufacturing and storage processes will allow. For example, unlike most other mayonnaises, Doodles mayonnaise is thickened traditionally with egg yolks and the salad dressings have no added water or preservatives. We recently won the RSPCA's "Good Egg" Award as the only Australian mayonnaise business to use free range eggs.

We are very proud that Doodles Creek today is one of Australia's leading gourmet food brands, renown for quality, freshness and innovation.
